An award winning landscape and planning workshop based in Indiana.

The Wabash Lowlands of western Indiana are a fertile physiographic region shaped by the Wabash River and glacial history. Characterized by broad floodplains, gently rolling hills, and rich alluvial soils, the area has long sustained hardwood forests, wetlands, prairies, and diverse wildlife habitats. Today, it remains a dynamic mix of agriculture, small towns, and conservation lands, continuing to hold cultural, ecological, and economic importance as one of Indiana’s defining river valleys.

LOWLAND Workshop is an active dialogue with nature; testing and crafting landscape environments for humans to build culture, connect with creation, and shape resilient communities rooted in place. Through design, planning, and stewardship, LOWLAND seeks to weave ecological intelligence with human aspiration—creating spaces that honor the land, inspire belonging, and foster continuity between past, present, and future.

LOWLAND Workshop stands at this intersection—serving as a resource for shaping landscapes that honor the natural world while supporting human community and culture.

At LOWLAND Workshop, we believe landscape is more than ground beneath our feet—it is a living continuum of stories, shaping how people connect, dwell, and thrive. Whether designing vibrant public spaces, intimate gardens, or restorative natural environments, we craft landscapes that enhance daily life and strengthen the bond between people and place. Guided by ecological intelligence and design precision, our team is dedicated to creating thoughtful, enduring environments tailored to each client and community.
